Join designer Tihara Smith for a relaxing raffia embroidery workshop where you will learn the basics of raffia embroidery and create a piece of tropical raffia embroidery wall art.

Don’t worry if you’re new to embroidery – this two-hour workshop is designed for beginners, and your experienced teacher, Tihara, will guide you through every step – all you need is the enthusiasm to try something new! It’s a lovely activity if you’re looking for something new to try on the weekend in London with friends, family or even solo.

During the workshop, you’ll have the opportunity to work with natural and paper raffia in your choice of vibrant colours. Tihara will teach you the fundamentals of raffia embroidery so that you can create a beautiful piece of tropical art to proudly display in your home. You have the option to choose between a floral hibiscus flower or a tropical monstera leaf design. Don’t worry about bringing anything with you – all the materials and equipment will be provided.

You’ll leave the workshop with a beautiful piece of raffia embroidery and some newfound embroidery skills. If you don’t finish on time, you’ll have everything you need to finish at home.

It’s a relaxing and mindful way to spend an afternoon, and you’ll also learn something new about the Caribbean.
