Stimulating Organic Herbal Conditioning Treatment

Do you want stronger hair and a healthier scalp? Are you willing to add some aromatherapy to your hair care routine?  We’ve got you covered.

To promote Alopecia Awareness we formulated two organic products:

• an organic Herbal Hair Masque – to stimulate the scalp and condition the hair
• an organic Herbal Hair Oil – to stimulate the follicles and soften the hair

Each product is designed on a base of organic plant based ingredients- no animal fats are included. Even the essential oils used are organic and each one has been selected for its therapeutic properties – as well as their uplifting aromas.

Rosemary, Sage, Peppermint have been selected for their rubefacient (stimulating) qualities and have long been used by traditional herbalists to treat hair loss and improve the condition of the scalp. Alongside organic Lavender (calming, soothing and anti-inflammatory) and organic Bay (a Caribbean favourite for combating hair loss and strengthening the roots.

Horsetail (the herb) is a natural hair conditioner and growth aid used to strengthen the hair. It is rich in silica which helps to strengthen weak, brittle and damaged hair – by filling in the damaged spots hair begins to look shinier and healthier over time. It’s stimulating properties help improve circulation locally, thereby nourishing the follicles.

Bamboo Extract is another silica rich ingredient and along with its protective, antioxidant properties it can help improve strength, sheen and elasticity of the hair. It is also thought to help address hair loss, shedding and thinning and increase hair growth.

Nettle Leaf is another herb traditionally used to treat hair loss, it can be drunk as a tea or massaged into the scalp here it also aids in hair re-growth as it is rich in silica and sulphur. It can also help make hair shinier and healthier.

Often considered a “protein shake for your locs”, Seaweed is rich in fatty acids, minerals and vitamins which help strengthen and promote thicker hair. According to “Alive: Canadian Journal of Health & Nutrition,” omega-3 fatty acids feed hair follicles to stimulate growth, and iron and zinc maintain hair production. We use Seaweed in our Stage 1 Shampoo and here in this stimulating herbal hair treatment.
You can use it as you would any deep conditioner but – to get the most out of the treatment – focus a bit more on your roots and scalp than before lightly coating the ends.

You can leave it on for 5 minutes before rinsing but its extra lush and deep conditioning if you can wrap your hair with a warm towel, cling film or a plastic bag and leave it on for half an hour mins (Longer if you prefer).

When rinsing continue to work the applied product into / through your ends as you go.
